~ Concerns regarding use of steel piles in corrosive areas.

~ Concrete piles are preferred in corrosive areas, but subsurface conditions control pile type.

~ Steel piles allow flexibility in length for required bearing, but require galvanizing or metallization.

~ Piles required repairs to galvanizing in numerous small areas.

~ There was a suggestion to use concrete piles and take advantage of set on future projects in corrosive areas.
~ 15 span cored slab with 24" pipe piles.

 ~ No drainage system.
